soSouvenir is not just a business, it is something very precious for Anne and Charlotte. The close creative partnership that the two designers have established up bestows pure magic on every single little item made for
your shop.

Once upon a time… that is how many good fairy tales begin – ours, too. Anne and Charlotte met each other at drawing classes in the outskirts of Odense in the early 1990s. Here we learnt the basic disciplines of drawing and layout, before we went our separate ways to follow the subject we had dreamed about – Anne illustration and Charlotte graphic design. Many years on, we discovered we could combine our specialist subjects, when Anne made illustrations for a zoo that wanted to use them as part of their own merchandise. This is where the idea of soSouvenir was born.

Since we founded our business in 2016, we have travelled all over. We always have our red suitcase (now version 2.0) with us on our travels, and it is full of samples and ideas that generate the inspiration for your new products.

Anne Hviid Nicolaisen

Anne spends a great part of her day on the phone to suppliers, customers and clients, as well as colleagues. Anne is the expert at getting everything to fall into place, at making the impossible succeed and not least at ensuring that you get your orders on time. Anne is also responsible for taking pictures, booking meetings with you, calculating prices and managing suppliers. Anne has a BA(honours) degree in Scientific and Natural History Illustration from Lancaster University in England. She has a sharp eye for details, whether she is working with pen and ink or piloting projects from start to finish.

Charlotte Eltang Wengler

Charlotte can see a great story in even the smallest detail; she works her way deep into your story, so that the really off-beat angles can lead to the most interesting, funniest and significant products. Charlotte lays down the broad conceptual framework for the story that each individual object is a part of. She crafts these objects in the finest detail and readies the files for production. Charlotte graduated from Design School Kolding, Denmark, as a graphic designer.

We have commissioned various products from soSouvenir for the opening of the new museum shop at The Museum of Copenhagen. We received personal and thoroughly professional advice from them, which was particularly valuable and resulted in us creating a good basic collection for the shop. Working together, we have developed unique products of high quality at prices that are affordable by all guests of the museum. soSouvenir provide fantastic service; they are good sparring partners and provide beautiful products of high quality.
I give them my warmest recommendation.
