The luxurious villa in the heart of Ribe, built in the Danish Rosenborg style popular in the latter part of the 1800s, is one of the oldest art museums in Denmark. The recent renovation of the building included newly designed flooring by architect Ditte Schmidt. She has been inspired by other parquet floors in the house – the impressive Versailles floors – and has used parquet blocks of oak and ash laid at right angles to each other, thus forming diagonal patterns.

The colour is taken from one of the walls, and the lovely floors have inspired the pattern on the bag, which soSouvenir has exclusively designed for the museum. The floors are also the inspiration for the logo, which the museum has had created as an offshoot from the restoration; this has been given new life as the motif of the ear studs.
